A small, focused tool for removing what files say about you.
Every photo, video and document you create carries notes you never wrote: where you stood, which device you used, when you saved the file and, for AI images, the prompt behind it. Most people only learn that after they have shared the file.
MetadataTools.io exists to make removing those notes a thirty-second job, and to make it provable.
Your device first
Photos and PDFs are cleaned inside your browser tab. They are never uploaded, so the most personal files never leave your computer.
Server only when needed
Video and RAW files are too large for a browser, so they go to our server over HTTPS, are cleaned, and the original is deleted when the job ends.
Checked, not assumed
After cleaning, every file is scanned again. If something identifying is still there, the report says so instead of claiming success.
Three ways in
Use the website for a few files, the API for scripts, or the MCP server to tell Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT to clean a folder.
