- What does the comparison show?
- Four lists: fields that were removed, fields whose value changed, fields that were added, and fields that are still there. Fields that may point at a person, a device, a program or a place are highlighted.
- Can I compare files cleaned by another tool?
- Yes. Any two files work, whoever cleaned them. It is a good way to check any remover, including ours.
- Are my files uploaded?
- Yes, for this tool, because reading many formats needs a server. Each file is held for the length of the request and deleted straight away. Each look counts as one use of your daily allowance.
- Why do some fields remain after cleaning?
- Technical fields such as image size, colour profile or audio length are needed to open the file and are kept on purpose. Check the highlighted ones: those are the fields that could identify someone.
